Our Commitment to GDPR
We are committed to helping Crescendo customers and users understand and, where applicable, comply with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The GDPR went into effect on May 25, 2018.
The GDPR not only strengthens privacy standards across the European Union, it also introduces obligations for all organizations around the world that handle data belonging to EU citizens, regardless of where the organization is located. Here, we explain how we help our customers comply with the GDPR.
GDPR Compliance
Crescendo was built and released after the GDPR took effect, so GDPR compliance has been baked into our product and our processes since before we launched. Measures we have implemented include:
Investing from the beginning in our security program and secure infrastructure
Support for international data transfers by executing Standard Contractual Clauses as part of our customer agreements
Offering data portability options for our users and customers. Details of how to make use of these options are communicated within the product and materials provided to users and customers so they are readily accessible.
Thoroughly vetting any sub-processors who will have access to customer data prior to engaging them, and entering into agreements that bind them to at minimum the same standards of privacy and data protection that we promise to our customers
We monitor the guidance around GDPR compliance from privacy-related regulatory bodies, and update our product features and contractual commitments accordingly. We update our customers regularly as changes are made.
Fulfilling our privacy and data security commitments is important to us. So we’re glad to comply and help you comply with the GDPR. If you have any questions about your rights under the GDPR as a user or how Crescendo can help you with compliance as a customer, we hope you’ll reach out to us at privacy@crescendowork.com.
